Every five years, Colorbond launches a new colour range which we all so eagerly wait to see. After extensive research and testing, the company revealed six new colours at its launch party pictured below last week.

Bringing the palette to 22 colours are the new colours: basalt, a powerful modern grey; wallaby, a warm natural grey; terrain, a rich outback red; mangrove, an elementary grey-green; gully, a sophisticated mid-grey and; cove, a sandy grey mid-tone colour.
Harley Anstee, who led the team from Nexus Design in developing the new colours, said the range had been inspired by the landscape. "The Australian landscape is a vastly varied one, it offers us inspiration everywhere. These six new colours are contemporary and, as with all Colorbond's offerings, based on the traditional hues of the Australian outdoors. We worked incredibly hard to make them as authentic as possible in order to do our beautiful country justice."

The colours will be available from next month onwards. Night Sky (black) is also making a comeback due to popular demand. Several other colours will be phased out, however, including Headland, Sandbank, Bushland, Wilderness and Loft.
Here is a bit of what Colorbond had to say.
